The hike begins in the heart of Stromboli, at Piazza San Vincenzo, where your volcanological guide will welcome you with a warm smile and all the information you need to make the most of this experience. The trail opens onto a breathtaking panorama, among the picturesque alleys of the village and the first glimpses of the volcano. We begin to climb gently along a path surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, where the scent of aromatic plants mingles with the sea breeze. As we progress, the landscape transforms: thickets give way to volcanic expanses, terrain that tells stories of lava flows and ancient explosions. On the way up we make stops at elevation 250m and at elevation 350m. Then we reach an altitude of 400m, a strategic vantage point from which you can admire the Sciara del Fuoco, the slope where incandescent lava flows toward the sea. Here time seems to stand still as the sun begins to set, tinging the sky with shades of orange, red and purple. The Strombolian eruptions, with their roars and launches of glowing lapilli, provide a natural spectacle that will leave you breathless. After a stop to enjoy the magic of the sunset and capture Stromboli’s moment of magic at sunset, we begin our descent. Daylight gives way to a starry sky, and the walk continues safely with headlamps provided by the guide. We cross an evocative reedbed, with the feeling of being immersed in another dimension, far from the chaos of everyday life. The return to the village is gentle and relaxing, accompanied by the sound of the sea in the distance and the excitement of having experienced something extraordinary. This experience is not just a trek, but a journey inside the very essence of Stromboli, a living, breathing volcano that you will carry in your heart forever. We are waiting for you with Etna Lava to experience this unforgettable spectacle together. Book now and prepare to be captivated by the beauty of fire and sunset!
